M and K, locked together in periwinkle and terracotta. Bold, a little unexpected, and very much mine.

The client from hell (me)
Here's the thing nobody tells you about designing your own brand: you are your own worst client. I briefed myself at least four times. I changed my mind about the colours twice. I seriously considered scrapping the whole thing and becoming a flower farmer instead. But eventually I got out of my own way, and I'm really glad I did.
Two letters. One mark.
The concept was always going to be a monogram. M and K, oversized and overlapping, doing that thing where simple looks effortless but definitely wasn't. Where they meet, the tones shift... just enough to add depth without making it complicated. Clean. Bold. A little bit cutsie.
On the colours
Periwinkle and terracotta have absolutely no business being this good together, and yet. Periwinkle for the confidence; terracotta for the warmth. It's giving beachside picnic and cityscraper happy hour all in one.

*Read to the tune of Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music
On the days I can't be out taking naps in fields of wildflowers while my husband fly fishes this is the sort of work I love to do.
